Mission Statement

SummerWild Productions publishes, produces and packages books. It publishes titles deemed to be of social importance, when finances are available and if the title is believed to be marketable. It produces titles for clients who have the financial where-with-all to self-publish a specific publication. And, it creates, or ‘packages’, products for publishers and distributors who perceive there is a niche in the marketplace for a book of a specific genre.

In the development of a title, SummerWild Productions works with creators—authors, artists and photographers—from the concept stage, through design, editing and manufacturing, to release. It believes that marketing, publicity and promotion are integral parts of book publishing, and, therefore, dedicates a great deal of attention to book launches, special events and media exposure. Through an on-going relationship with
Raincoast Books Distribution Ltd. of Vancouver, SummerWild Productions titles have appeared in bookstores throughout Canada. It also actively seeks, where appropriate, distribution in the international marketplace.

SummerWild Productions is an independent book production company, solely owned and operated by Ken Budd from the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. Its goal is to continue to create books of quality and significance that will enjoy public praise.
